Description

Run Tracker is designed by runners for runners. Like you, we were searching for the best running application but couldn’t quite find the right one. Thus, we decided to make our own! We’ve rethought every aspect of running apps and delivered what we feel addresses the core needs of runners.

Features

-Interval, Distance and Time workouts. To get better at running, you really need to perform all three types of runs.

-Unlimited workouts. You can store multiple runs of each type of workout. Have a favorite 5k you run every year? Create a workout just for it and be able to track your *exact* progress year-over-year.

-GPS distance tracking. Pretty much mandatory for a running app nowadays.

-Vocalized milestones. RunTracker will announce every mile/kilometer or 10-minute interval achieved. Interval increments also vocalized.

-Pace, Speed and Calorie tracking. RunTracker gives you instant feedback concerning the metrics of your run.

-Time and Distance graphs. Instantly generated as you run, you can track individual laps to measure your improvement.

-Workout summary. Quickly view the metrics associated with your last run to help get psyched up for your next run. Also, view your total progress for the most recent 50 runs per workout.

-Earn achievements for maintaining an 8-mile pace or setting a new workout personal best.

-iPod compatible. Listen to your iPod while using Run Tracker. And, audible milestones will mix with your music.

-Metric and imperial units both supported.

-Up to seven increments can be entered per interval. A rare feature but certainly a must have for some runners.

-Unlimited profiles. You and your whole family can have your own profiles complete with a picture taken from your phone.

-Intuitive design. RunTracker has been designed to quickly get you started. The active workout defaults to your previous user and workout to help get you started quickly.

UPDATE

Thanks for getting us off to a good start! Our goal is to develop the best running application not just for us...but for you. Please send us your ideas to juicedupapps@gmail.com.

UPDATE #2

Thanks for the positive reviews. We are working to resolve the memory issues (iPhone memory management is a beast!) and hope to have a new release out in a few weeks.

UPDATE #3

Please ensure you are using the OS 3.1.2+. RunTracker will not run on older versions.

UPDATE #4

The iPhone OS (not the app) has a bug which disables audio when the screen turns off. To ensure audio prompts work, please tap the screen every ~7 minutes to keep alive. Hopefully, this gets resolved in the next release of the OS due out soon. Sorry for the troubles.

UPDATE #5

The iPod Touch does not contain a GPS chip. Distance calculations, however, should be possible via a Wi-Fi connection (for instance, if running at the gym) using a less accurate method of network triangulation. This is a non-issue on an iPhone since it contains a GPS chip.

Fits my needs

:
I really like this app. I'm not sure what else you could want in a running application. It looks cool and keeps track of every type of run (or walk) that I do. I really like that fact that it shows me "achievments" that tell me that I've surpassed a previous goal. I even use it when going on walks with my mom. It lets me show her that she is improving over time.

What else do you need? Nice app.

not great

:
I didn't like this ap because it was not intuitive. they've renamed runs for example "Timed" runs are actually long runs and "Distance" is more like a race time.

RunTracker not what I expected

:
I bought this application not for running, but for cross country skiing. It said that it has GPS tracking, so I assumed that meant it would show me how far I went which is really what I was looking for. Either I am not using it right, or it just doesn't do it. It only tracked my time, which I can do with my watch! I've been skiing a course that I have no idea how long it is and bought this app to help me figure it out. Very disappointing to waste $3...
